ITV (Interactive Television) Courses

Online Courses

 

Whether your goal is to earn a degree or to simply complete a course, University College offers access to many post-secondary institutions in several locations throughout Maine. Lisbon Adult Education is an ITV site, so you don't have to travel to a college campus. Also, many courses are available on-line. Classes begin January 14. For more information, call, phone or visit the Adult Education Office. You may call 1-800-868-7000 or go to www.learn.maine.edu. Register at Lewiston-Auburn College by calling 753-6501.

Internet-Based Online Courses

Over 200 courses are available on-line. All computer and Internet classes can be applied towards certificate programs. Students have 8 weeks to complete a course. Courses start each month. All courses require Internet Access, e-mail, and either Netscape or Internet Explorer. Some classes have additional technical requirements. Course fees start at $65 and up. Course start dates for Spring 2008:

Small Business Development Classes

Maine Small Business Development Corporation offers free online courses designed for individuals who are currently developing a small business or who would like to start a small business. The courses offered are: Starting Your Small Business, Developing Your Business Plan, and Marketing for Small Business.

See also...

Did you know? Adult Education students may use open computer labs to work on classes including on-line classes. If you would like to take an on-line course but do not have broadband access at home, the open computer labs can be used to complete your course. Visit the Adult Education Office to register to use the Open Computer Lab and to get the schedule. Registration is required. Students taking an on-line class and using the computer lab will be charged 10 cents a copy for printing.
