How to Register
1. Print and mail registration
form anytime with a check payable to Lisbon
Adult Education.
2. Walk-in registration: Begins January
7, 2008. Bring in completed registration
form with a check payable to Lisbon Adult
Education.
3. Phone-in registration: Begins January 7, 2008. 353-3037. Free classes and those
$5 and under only.
4. Online registration:
Begins January 7, 2008 Free classes and those $5 and under only.
Registration Confirmations:
Written confirmations are not mailed to students.
Students will be notified only when there is a change
in the
course meeting schedules or a class is cancelled. |
Policies
This community program is partially supported
by state and local tax dollars. Your fees make
up the difference. Some courses are self-supporting
and require a higher registration fee and minimum
enrollment.
Cancellation If there is insufficient enrollment, a course will be canceled.
Insufficient
funds
A fee of $20.00 will be charged by the Town
of Lisbon for checks returned for
insufficient funds.
Location
Classes meet at Lisbon High School unless another
location is identified in the class description.
Non-Resident Fee
An additional non-resident fee of $5.00 will be
charged to students who are not residents of the
Town of Lisbon, when the original registration fee
is $15.00
or more.
Refunds
Full refunds will be issued if a course is canceled
due to low enrollment, or if a student drops a course
prior to the first meeting. No refund will be made
after the first class meeting.
School Closings
If Lisbon public schools are canceled for any reason
(weather, safety, etc.), then Adult Education classes
are also canceled. At other times, cancellations will
be broadcast on Channel 6 TV after 2:00 p.m. and will
be posted on our home
page.
Senior Citizens
Senior Citizens Discount : Individuals over the age
of 65 will receive a 10% discount on most classes including
all computer classes, personal enrichment, health and
fitness and academics. This discount is not available
for Medical Workplace Skills classes, ITV classes,
and Internet based on-line classes.
Special Services
TABE testing and CASAS testing is available for all adults. If you need to take the TABE test for employment, TABE preparation instruction is available. If you are taking on-line college or graduate courses, examination proctoring is available. Call 353-3037 for more information.
Textbooks
Texts will be sold on the first night of class. Payment
is expected upon receipt of the book. No refunds will
be given on textbooks.

Holidays
There will be no classes on the following dates:

- Mar. 24, School Professional Day
- April 7 , School Professional Day
- April 12, Parent/Teacher Conferences
- April 21-25, April Vacation
- May 5 , School Professional Day
